Regeneration is often considered more achievable in deep intrabony defects. This case illustrates complete bone fill, including regeneration of bone across the buccal root prominence, in a wide relatively shallow osseous defect. As with all cases in the pivotal trial no GTR membrane was used, illustrating the effectiveness of GEM 21S® in all types of periodontal defects.
